In 1980 Bruce Holmlund opened the doors of Holmlund Financial Services in Fort Frances, ON. The company had much success selling life insurance for a single company but quickly realized that there was a need in our community for a wider array of products and services. The search was on and in 1983 partnerships were created with several of the top Canadian financial institutions giving our clients access to a multitude of solutions. The firm kept evolving, dealers changed, staff and services were added, but the focus always stayed on our clients. Bruce’s belief in a “Business Built on Service” has left us with a legacy of commitment and community that won’t be forgotten.
Susan Bodnarchuk took over the reigns in 1996 and continued the success. With Bruce’s same humble and hardworking attitude, Susan has brought the company to even greater heights solidifying it as one of the premier financial advisory practices in the area. Numerous business awards, certifications, and achievements later, Susan and her team have continued to find innovative ways to improve their client’s well being. With a focus on putting clients above self, Holmlund Financial is proud of the lives we have made better.
In the fall of 2019 Adrian Chapman joined the team. With Susan’s guidance and mentorship, Adrian took ownership of the company in August of 2020. The care that Susan has put into her succession plan is truly a testament to the continued commitment she has for her clients’ well being. Having passed the business on, Susan is excited to be able to spend more time concentrating on her clients.
Changes have been made, but the heart of this great company stays the same. Adrian and his team are prepared to continue the legacy of Susan Bodnarchuk and Bruce Holmlund for many years to come.
